How To Start An Youtube Channel In 2022 (And Possibly Make $1,000 a Month)
If you want to make money on YouTube, it’s important to have a clear plan for how to do so. As with any career path, there are many different ways to make money on YouTube. Some are better than others, but most will require some trial and error before you find one that works best for you.
1) Find a topic you love
The first thing you need to do is choose a topic that speaks to you. You want this to be something that you are passionate about, because if you don’t enjoy it, no one will enjoy watching your videos.
You also need to make sure that whatever subject matter you choose is something that comes naturally to you and which will allow for creative freedom in terms of the types of content that can be created around it.
Your chosen topic should be unique and relevant to your audience as well. If there’s another channel with an identical or even similar video series already on YouTube, then people are less likely going to subscribe or engage with yours as they may assume they’re seeing the same thing again but from a different angle or perspective (which isn’t necessarily true).
2) Get organized
I know this sounds like a no-brainer, but organization is a key component of success in any venture. If you can’t find that file with your notes on the client meeting you had last week, or if you forget to put the billable hours in time entry and have to do it later in the day, it’ll throw off your whole day, and make everything feel chaotic.
When I first started my YouTube channel, organization wasn’t one of my strong suits — I was used to writing papers and taking tests where everything was neatly numbered and labeled. But now that I’ve been at this for a few months (and have had more than one emergency situation), I’ve learned how important it is to stay on top of things!
My husband has been helping me out with organizing tasks and projects so there’s no more confusion about what needs done when — it’s all clear…
